ROBERT HUTH SET TO RETURN FOR LEICESTER

Leicester City central defender Robert Huth is set to return to action for the former Premier League champs, as per reports. He would begin his comeback with a feature in the Under 23 setup on Wednesday before gradual introduction into the first team.

It is good news for the Foxes as Wes Morgan hamstring issues remain in a limbo. The club is awaiting the scan results of the defender. Morgan picked up the injury in the game against Huddersfield Town at the King Power Stadium, increasing the list of unfit players in the squad.

For Huth, he would play against Tottenham Hotspur in Premier League 2 at Holmes Park under Leicester youth coach Steve Beaglehole. The centre back has not played since the beginning of this season. He has surgery on his ankle in the summer and then suffered a setback after making an appearance for the youth side.

As the club knows the extent of Morgan’s injury, they can decide on a timeline for Huth as he gains more fitness. Coach Claude Puel expects Morgan to be out for a while but the scan results would reveal the true situation of things. The big player slipped and over stretched himself as he made a challenge in the victory over Huddersfield.

Leicester have Harry Maguire and Aleksandar Dragovic as the main pairing for now while Yohan Benalouane remains an option. Benalouane’s future at the club remains shaky as he wants more game time. With Adrien Silva set to join the first team after receiving international clearance, it is good news for the club but not so good for Benalouane. Matty James is also expected to fight for a spot in the team after a long injury.
